Meet Our Pack

At Misfit Farm Sanctuary, we aim to keep animals out of shelters and off the streets. At the Sanctuary, we have 8 rescued dogs, 3 rescued horses, and 2 rescued pot belly pigs. We also have many mischievous cats.

Meet Kristin

Our founder Kristin Kaley is a full-time nurse practitioner in radiation oncology. From childhood, Kristin aspired to own a farm where unwanted and lost animals could live together in a safe, loving home. In 2018, Kristin realized that dream in Springfield, SC, and today lives on her farm with eight rescued dogs, three horses, and two potbelly pigs. In addition to her rescues, she also cares for chickens.

In 2022, Kristin saw the opportunity to start Misfit Farm Sanctuary after seeing her terminally ill patients struggle to rehome their animal companions. Today, Kristin is on a mission to rehome at-need pets to new forever homes or give them a safe, loving home in the Sanctuary.
