Foster
Our happy, healthy, and ready-to-adopt dogs need a comfy place to stay and a little love while we find them a forever home.
Short-Term Fostering
Short-term fostering allows animal lovers an opportunity to welcome our rescue dogs into their homes and provide love, socialization, and care in a friendly environment. Socialized dogs naturally have a better chance of being adopted. Fosters are responsible for caring for the dogs, socializing them, providing basic training, and integrating them into family life.
What We Provide
Thanks to our generous Misfit Farm Sanctuary community, we will be responsible for all medical care, vaccinations, training costs, food and medications. All dogs are usually spayed/neutered before going into our foster homes.
As a MFS foster parent, you will be responsible for taking dogs to scheduled vet appointments, training appointments as needed, speaking with and meeting potential adopters, and attending adoption events.
All MFS fosters must be 18 years old and if renting, must have expressed permission from landlords to ensure a safe a productive foster environment.
